Radiesse®
Immediate Lift. Lasting Regeneration.
Some treatments address the surface of the dermis. Radiesse works beneath it — delivering instant structural improvement while simultaneously triggering your skin’s own collagen-building process for results that continue to develop long after you leave the clinic.
It is a treatment designed for those who want genuine, lasting change: defined contours, firmer skin, and an improvement in overall quality that builds over time.
How It Works
Radiesse contains Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres — composed of calcium and phosphate ions that occur naturally in the body — suspended in a smooth gel carrier. When injected, the gel provides an immediate lifting and contouring effect, smoothing lines and restoring definition to areas such as the jawline and chin.
As the gel is gradually absorbed over the following months, the CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating fibroblast cells to produce new collagen and elastin. This process of neocollagenesis builds a lasting network of structural support beneath the skin — improving firmness, elasticity, and skin quality long after the initial gel has broken down. The CaHA particles are then fully metabolised by the body, leaving only your own newly formed collagen behind.

FAQs
What areas can be treated with Radiesse?
Radiesse is used on the upper cheeks, jawline, décolletage, and hands. It is particularly effective for restoring definition to the jawline and improving the appearance of ageing hands.
Can Radiesse be dissolved?
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse cannot be dissolved. This makes practitioner skill and experience especially important. Treatment with Radiesse should only ever be carried out by a highly trained and experienced practitioner.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes. Radiesse is suitable for a wide range of skin types and tones.
How soon will I see results?
Results are visible immediately following treatment. The collagen-stimulating effects then continue to develop over the following months, with the full benefit of neocollagenesis typically apparent at three to six months.
What aftercare is required?
Avoid touching the treated area excessively for the first six hours. Sleep slightly elevated on the night of treatment to minimise swelling. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Antihistamines can be taken to reduce swelling if needed. Arnica gel can help with any bruising.
